Just like any race dealing with statistics, GMA-7’s Marimar is showing frequent highs and some moderate lows. But like any competent warrior engaged in a tough competition, any setback means sufficient reason to regain ground.

And what a way to bounce back.

A day after tying its pilot episode rating, the tandem of Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera in Marimar showed sufficient grit as it registered a whopping 39.3 percent showing last September 13, Thursday. The impressive number came a day after Marimar matched its debut rating of 38.3 percent.

KC Concepcion wants to visit her “Papa” Gabby more often

(source: philippine entertainment portal)

Now that she’s done with her Paris education, KC Concepcion wants to visit her father, former matinee idol Gabby Concepcion, in the United States more often than before.

“We plan to see each other every year. So hopefully, in the next couple of months puwede na po kami magkita ulit. May plano po talaga akong bumalik to go and see him in California,” shared KC last night, September 10, at the press conference of her upcoming TV special for ABS-CBN titled KC From Paris to Pinas, which will be shown on September 23.

Initially, KC’s plan was to visit her ex-matinee idol father—whom she fondly addressed as “Papa”—immediately upon her return from Paris. But her workload and other commitments got in the way.

Hopefully, makahanap ako ng konting time. Gusto ko right away,” she said.

Angel Locsin denies asking to change title of her teleserye with Piolo Pascual?

(source: philippine entertainment portal)

Has Marimar finally met its rightful match? Apparently and basing in this week’s ratings, yes!

In the recent survey conducted by AGB Nielsen Philippines among Mega Manila households from September 3 to 6, GMA-7’s Impostora, starring Sunshine Dizon and Iza Calzado, dominated primetime viewing and in the process snatches the top spot from Marimar, starring Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes.

Though the margins were relatively within striking distance, the sudden upsurge finally shook primetime viewing consistently owned by Marimar since its debut last month.

More so, the local version of the popular Mexican telenovela experienced its lowest ebb last September 3 (Monday), as it placed 4th overall behind 24 Oras which registered a strong 31.1 percent rating and second placer Mga Mata ni Anghelita, 31.4 percent.
