christmas station ids: abs-cbn vs gma

i just saw both the christmas station ids a few minutes ago. needless to say, abs-cbn’s was better.  abs-cbn’s was more visually pleasing, and the last scene was good. this is not their best. but better than gma’s. gma’s was a little bit bland. although the message of “regalo galing sa puso” is the best gift of them all is good. i could say “kapuso ano man kulay ng buhay” was a better station id.

 abs-cbn pioneered station ids. back in the days when rico yan was still alive, i thoroughly enjoyed the summer station id when the whattamen were pulling the kite. i forgot the name of the song but when i hear it,  i should know. “oh oh oh” summer station id 2007 was not bad either. but the saranggola was still the best.

 number 2 would be the rainy season station id, which featured the song “sukob na”. very nice song, loved the meaning, loved the concept of the whole id.

i also  liked the regular station ids, wherein everything circle is made to appear like the logo of abs-cbn, very creative.

there should be a couple more i like, but which i forgot. abs-cbn really does great station ids. no doubt about that.
